Oh what a weekend it was. After a series of crushing blows on Friday morning, things began picking up by late Friday night, and the sun was once again shining by Saturday afternoon.  I'm being ambiguous on purpose because all that matters right now is the exciting news.  

C.H. called me Saturday afternoon to let me know that the finished versions of the Songs are in, and within a week and a half I'll be holding finished copies of my first book in my hand.  Yes.  I am nervous.  Very.  Very nervous. 

That wasn't the only good news, some Cali-connects have come through and I have my first two non-New York appearances for the tour lined up.  Last week Bryant Terry put me in touch with Adam Mansbach.  Adam put me down on this panel he's doing May 13th in San Francisco, and Bryant linked me with the folks at Guerilla cafe where he and I'll be sharing the stage on May 18th.  Check the Readings and Appearances page for more info on these events.  

Oh yes, another highlight was an invite from the owners of Pieces Boutique in BK to do a signing at their Brooklyn location.  

I'll be heading from BK to Cali within a week of the book launch.  Maybe I'll celebrate in LA by renting a convertible, copping a Kangol, and do it up like LL would because I'm goin, goin, back, back to Cali. Cali.
