Please join co-hosts Abiola Abrams and I on Thursday March 27th for a fund raiser benefiting Aqa Aakhu Ebiemu Mothudi, wife and mother of three young children, who was diagnosed with breast cancer a little over a year ago. We have joined The Sum Friends Network's life-saving mission to help the Mothudi family secure funding for the treatment necessary to help Aqa Aakhu regain her health.

Admission is on a sliding scale:
$5/2 Raffle Tickets
$10/ 4 Raffle Tickets
$25/ 4 Raffle Tickets and a book of your choice.

Dare to Live will be held at Frank White Cafe, 936 Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn NY. There will be light refreshments and beverages on hand for purchase.

Ferentz Lafargue discusses his new memoir, Songs in the Key of My Life. Inspired by the seminal Stevie Wonder novel, this novel explores connections between memorable songs and memorable moments in Lafargue's life. Moderated by blogger and music critic Jalylah Burrell, this event will also include a book signing, and brief listening party featuring many of the songs from Songs in the Key of My Life.
